Border Native Shares Secrets To Success In New Book

San Antonio, Texas– One of the Rio Grande Valley’s shining stars, Rudy Ruiz, has just released his first book, published by Random House Español. The April 15th release of “Adelante! Un guia personal del éxito para usted y su familia”, is a work that not only speaks of his own road to success, but one that provides the blueprints for other Latinos to reach this themselves.

Ruiz has long been a model of excellence. Born and raised on the border, he obtained both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Harvard University.

“My bilingual, bicultural upbringing,” Ruiz says, “is an essential part of who I am, and what I’ve been able to do with my life and career.”

Together with his wife, Heather, Ruiz founded Interlex, a leading multicultural marketing, advertising and public relations agency, in 1995. The firm – which is based in San Antonio and has offices in Mexico City – has carved out a niche in serving public sector, health care, tourism and financial services clients. The company’s success has led to Ruiz being ranked among the top 100 Hispanic entrepreneurs in the nation for the past five years in a row. And in the past, Ruiz has been recognized by many organizations, including the National Hispanic Institute which hailed him as “a cultural visionary” and the Texas Commission on the Arts, which referred to him as a “positive role model for Hispanic youth.”

“Our business is not just about our success; we’ve focused on developing campaigns which promote human empowerment and the success of others, particularly those within diverse communities,” says Ruiz.

The agency’s clients include Texas Department of Health, Texas Department of Transportation and the Texas Department of Economic Development – Tourism Division. Private sector clients include numerous hospitals, tourism organizations and banks.

“The book is a personal expression of the same philosophy which has guided our company,” Ruiz adds. “I was approached by Random House to share my formula for growth and success with my fellow Latinos. I’m very grateful for that opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives.”

Ruiz is scheduled for speaking engagements and book signings in Los Angeles, Miami and New York in the coming months. He also plans to promote the book throughout his home state of Texas.

“Adelante!” is currently for sale and can be purchased online at amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com.
